WE'RE A PASSIONATE TRIBE OF WRITERS, FREELANCERS, AND CREATIVES
We Started SHE in a coffee shop in Harlem, with a notebook full of sketches, and zero funding. Today, we've evolved into digital storytelling platform for female founders of color, and we're as proud as ever of our humble beginnings. Our mission hasn't changed though--our goal is to change perceptions around what an entrepreneur looks like, and to get more minorities into the industry. We're constantly on the hunt for new talent, and we love getting feedback from our readers. Check out our contributors, and why they've teamed with us, below.
Alana launched the SHE platform in 2016. The original concept was to de-mystify the start-up lifestyle for aspiring, diverse young women. In 2016, Alana became a Finalist for The Nantucket Project—an incubator dedicated to spreading the world’s most important ideas through our groundbreaking programs and initiatives. Alana hails from Northern California, and graduated from the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business.
In addition to providing input at SHE, Lindsay is a Creative Campaign Consultant for a number of award-winning organizations and storytelling platforms, including GLEASON, Girl Rising, Nest Foundation, Playground, and Frack Theatre.
